COLLECTIVEACTION LAB

We leverage the power of speculative design to create participatory exhibitions tackling critical issues like climate change, migrant rights, and body sovereignty. Multiple times a year we activate design interventions in cities around the world to spark action and challenge dominant narratives.

Through our Action Lab, we strive to connect the personal to the global, and the individual to the collective. We explore how seemingly disparate issues –are intricately woven together, and how our actions, however small, can make a difference.

  • Amazonia: A climate crisis pop-up store

Welcome to Amazonia: a worst-case scenario store

Amazonia is a glimpse into a climate-ravaged future—one where the systems that provide food, water, shelter, safety, power, and communications to New Yorkers are teetering on the verge of collapse. Amazonia strives to make the scope and complexity of climate change tangible and specific, through the lens of everyday objects. It is an invitation to imagine futures that currently seem impossible.
